Beginning of Chopard:
Chopard began its journey in the year 1860 when it was established in a small village of Switzerland. The company was founded by Louise Ulysses Chopard. It was under his able guidance that the company began to create its reputation slowly and steadily. At present there is hardly any company that can compete with them. After his demise the company was looked after by his son Paul Louis who went on to enlarge the company and opened two different branches of the company, one of it was in La Chaux-de-Fonds and the other one was opened at Geneva. The company continued expanding and launched many collections and was a popular supplier of timepieces during the World War.
However after a certain period of time, the family members of the company refused to continue the business especially the son of Paul Andre. He decided to run the business on a partnership basis and entered into a partnership with Karl Scheufele in order to make further progress in the company. This union between Andre's son and Karl turned out to be a very profitable one and the company Chopard reached new successful heights. After this partnership it was noticed that the company started manufacturing more advanced timepieces.
